  1. Day 1: Talakaveri
    1 hour 30 minutes (45 miles) from Coorg

    Start your Coorg trip with a visit to Talakaveri which marks the source of the Kaveri River. It is a beautiful and serene spot surrounded by greenery, and you can climb up a set of steps to reach the spot where the river originates. Here, you'll also find a small temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, where devotees come to take a dip in the holy water. The view from the top is breathtaking and provides ample photo opportunities.

  2. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    1 hour (24 miles) from Talakaveri

    Located amidst lush green coffee plantations, Abbey Falls is a beautiful waterfall that cascades down from a height of 70 feet. The sound of the falls can be heard from a distance, contributing to its charm. A short walk through a dense forest will lead you to a hanging bridge from where you can witness the falls in full glory. The water is refreshing and inviting, and you can take a dip in the natural pool beneath.

  3. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 10 minutes (18 miles) from Abbey Falls

    Your last stop for the day is the Dubare Elephant Camp where you can interact with elephants and learn about their behaviour and habits. You can go on a walk with the elephants, feed them, and even take a bath with them in the river. The camp also offers elephant rides and shows.

  4. Day 2: Madikeri Fort
    40 minutes (15 miles) from Coorg

    Start your second day in Coorg with a visit to the Madikeri Fort, built-in 17th century by Mudduraja. It is a huge complex with several historical monuments, artefacts, and a museum showcasing the rich culture of Coorg. The fort stands tall in the centre of the town, and the location provides a panoramic view of the valley and surrounding hills.

  5. Day 2: Raja's Seat
    10 minutes (2 miles) from Madikeri Fort

    A beautiful garden with a spectacular view of the hills, Raja's Seat is a popular tourist attraction in Coorg. According to legend, the Coorg kings used to spend their evenings here watching the sunset and enjoying the cool breeze. The garden is full of colourful flowers and fountains and has several viewpoints providing a stunning view of the hills.

  6. Day 2: Omkareshwara Temple
    5 minutes (1 mile) from Raja's Seat

    End your Coorg trip on a spiritual note by visiting the Omkareshwara Temple, located near Raja's Seat. It is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, built-in Indo-Islamic style. The temple has a unique mix of architecture and has a huge water tank as the main attraction. The serene atmosphere and peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place for soul-searching and meditation.
