Doddabetta Peak is the highest mountain in the Nilgiri Hills, standing at an altitude of 2,637 meters. You can reach the peak by car and then hike the last kilometer. The view from the top is breathtaking, and you can see the entire town and surrounding hills from here. There is also a Telescope House where you can view the surrounding landscape through telescopes.
Pykara is a picturesque location that is known for its waterfall and dam. The falls are surrounded by lush green forests and are a great place to take a dip in the cool waters. You can take a boat ride in the Pykara Lake or go on a scenic trek through the woods. There is a small restaurant near the dam where you can have a quick bite.
If you have more time, you can also visit the Ooty Botanical Gardens and the Ooty Lake. If you have less time, you can skip the boat ride in Pykara and just visit the falls and dam. Don't forget to carry a water bottle and comfortable walking shoes for the hikes.
