The Botanical Garden is a must-visit destination in Ooty with its vast collection of plants, rare trees and flowers and a serene atmosphere. The garden is beautifully maintained by the authorities and offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Spread over 22 hectares, the garden has a fossil tree that dates back to more than 20 million years, a monkey puzzle tree, and an Italian garden. The garden is open from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm and the entrance fee is INR 30 per person.
Doddabetta Peak is the highest mountain in the Nilgiri Hills, standing at an altitude of 2,637 meters above sea level.
