Lisbon Cultural Immersion Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Alfama District
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Lisbon City Centre

    Explore the oldest district of Lisbon, Alfama. Walk through the narrow streets and alleys and experience the traditional Portuguese architecture. Climb up to the Castelo de São Jorge, a Moorish castle that offers panoramic views of the city. Afterwards, visit the Fado Museum and learn about the traditional music of Portugal. End the day with a dinner at a local seafood restaurant.

  2. Day 2: Belém
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Alfama District

    Visit Belém, a historic district of Lisbon. Stop by the Jerónimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the Manueline architecture. See the Monument to the Discoveries, which celebrates Portugal's Age of Exploration. Then, visit the famous pastry shop, Pastéis de Belém, and try their delicious pastries. End the day with a sunset view at the Belem Tower.
