Three Days in Hyderabad (May 2023)

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    10 minutes (1.2 km) from Chowmahalla Palace

    The Charminar is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad. It's a must-visit attraction that gives a glimpse of the city's rich history. Built in 1591, this grand structure with four minarets stands tall at 56 meters and has 149 winding steps to the top. Visitors can enjoy a stunning view of the city from the top. There are plenty of shops selling pearls, bangles, and other souvenirs; and delicious street food to try around the Charminar.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort
    30 minutes (13.5 km) from Charminar

    The Golconda Fort is a ruined fortress with a rich history. The citadel is built on a granite hill and has an impressive architecture. The fort was originally built in the 12th century and was later expanded by the Bahmani and Qutb Shahi dynasties. The sound and light show in the evening is worth watching. The fort is surrounded by lovely gardens and has a small museum with exhibits, including a collection of arms and armory.

  3. Day 3: Salar Jung Museum
    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Nizam's Museum

    The Salar Jung Museum is one of the largest private museums in the world. It has an impressive collection of art, sculptures, and artifacts from all over the world. The museum was established in 1951 and has over a million objects on display. Some of the highlights include the Veiled Rebecca, a Jade Room, and a Musical Clock in Ivory.
