Start your trip in Ooty by visiting Doddabetta Peak, the highest point of the Nilgiri Mountains. The peak offers a stunning panoramic view of the surroundings. Be sure to visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and haze. Enjoy a cup of tea at the tea shop at the summit while taking in the view. Please note that the peak may be closed during foggy weather.
Spend your second day visiting the Ooty Botanical Gardens, home to more than 650 species of plants and trees. The gardens are divided into several sections, including a fossil tree trunk that is around 20 million years old. The garden is open from 9 am to 6:30 pm, and an entry fee of INR 20 is charged per person.
On your final day in Ooty, head to Pykara Waterfalls. The falls are located in the Pykara Village amidst lush green forests and are a sight to behold. Take a boat ride in the Pykara Lake or enjoy a picnic at the falls. Please note that the falls may not be accessible during the monsoon season.
