Kolukkumalai Tea Estate is the highest tea plantation in the world and offers a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. Start your day with a sunrise jeep safari through the tea estate, where you will also get a chance to witness the tea-making process. After the safari, head to the nearby village for a traditional breakfast. The village is known for its cardamom and pepper plantations, so you can take a walk and explore the area before heading back to Munnar.
Anamudi Peak is the highest peak in South India, standing at 8,842 feet. Start your day early with a trek to the peak, which takes about 3-4 hours. The trek is challenging, but the view at the top is worth it. You can also spot some exotic wildlife like Nilgiri tahr, Indian bison, and lion-tailed macaque. After the trek, head to the nearby Mattupetty Dam for a picnic lunch and boating.
