Exploring Coorg in May 2023

  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp

The camp is situated on the banks of the river Cauvery, and you can also enjoy water sports like rafting.     Talakaveri is the birthplace of the river Cauvery, and is considered as a sacred place by the locals. You can climb up the Brahmagiri hill to get a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The temple at the top is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is a popular pilgrimage site. You can also visit the nearby Bhagamandala temple, which is located at the confluence of three rivers.
