Start your journey at Echo Point, which is a beautiful spot located around 15 km from Munnar. The name "Echo Point" originated from the natural echo phenomena. It offers a picturesque view of the serene lake, rolling hills, and misty mountains. You can enjoy activities such as boating, nature walks, and birding. The best time to visit is in the morning when the sun is not too harsh.
Head to the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea plantations that have shaped Munnar's culture and economy. The museum showcases the evolution of tea processing, with extensive exhibits of tea-making machinery and tools. You can also sample and purchase various blends of tea. The museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day except Monday.
Head to Pothamedu Viewpoint, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations. The place is blessed with magnificently refreshing and soothing air and produces some of the finest tea in the world. The viewpoint is open from 6 am to 6 pm, and you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset depending on the time of your visit.
On Day 2, visit the Mattupetty Dam, one of the most popular tourist spots in Munnar. The dam is situated amidst sprawling tea plantations and forests. You can go for a speedboat ride or a paddleboat ride in the lake here and experience the scenic beauty of this serene place. The dam is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm daily.
After the dam, head to Kundala Lake, which is a natural lake surrounded by lush greenery. You can go for a Shikara Boat Ride in the lake, which is a unique experience in itself. The lake is also home to the famous Neela Kurinji flowers that bloom once every twelve years. Kundala Lake is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
