Start your trip with a visit to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad at 2,100 metres. This picturesque peak offers a challenging trek up to the top, but the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and heart-shaped lake halfway up the trail are worth the effort. Make sure to pack a few snacks and plenty of water to keep you energized during the trek.
On the second day, explore the ancient Edakkal Caves, which are believed to be over 8,000 years old. The caves are home to inscriptions, petroglyphs, and pictorial wall art dating back to the Neolithic age. The hike to the caves is steep and rocky, but the incredible views of the surrounding valleys and hillsides make it well worth the effort.
