    Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earthen dam in India and is a popular spot for boating and picnicking. The serene surroundings of the dam offer a calm ambiance for a family outing. The dam also offers trekking opportunities and a visit to the nearby Banasura Hill is a must-do. There are a few restaurants near the dam offering authentic Kerala cuisine.

    The Thirunelli Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is surrounded by lush green forests. Located close to the temple is the Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary, which is known for its diverse bird population. A visit to Pakshipathalam requires a short trek of around 3 kilometers. The trek is challenging, but the view from the hilltop is breathtaking.
