Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad and is a popular trekking spot. The trek to the peak involves a 2 km hike through tea plantations and dense forests. Visitors need to obtain permission from the forest department before starting the trek. At the top of the peak, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
The Edakkal Caves are two natural caves located on a hilltop. The caves have ancient rock carvings dating back to the Neolithic Age. To reach the caves, visitors need to hike up a steep hill. The hike takes around 45 minutes to an hour. Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with amazing views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The caves are closed on Mondays.
Soochipara Falls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall located in the dense forests of Wayanad. Visitors need to take a short hike through the forest to reach the falls. The main waterfall has a height of around 200 feet. Visitors can swim in the natural pool at the base of the falls. The falls are closed during the monsoon season.
