Chembra Peak, situated at an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek to the top of the peak is moderately difficult and takes around 3-4 hours. The view from the top is breathtaking with lush green valleys, tea estates, and beautiful landscapes. It is recommended to start the trek early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day. Do not forget to carry enough water, snacks, and a first-aid kit.
Banasura Sagar Dam, located on the outskirts of Wayanad, is the largest earthen dam in India and the second-largest in Asia. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Activities like speed boating, banana boat rides, and kayaking are available at the dam. In addition, there is a beautiful park with a children's play area, a flower garden, and a small tea shop. It is a perfect place to spend a relaxing day with family and friends.
