Two-Day Kodaikanal Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Coakers Walk
    7 minutes (1.2 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    Enjoy a scenic walk on Coakers Walk, a well-maintained pathway that offers panoramic views of the valley, mountains, and the town below. The path is about a kilometer long and is perfect for a leisurely stroll. You can also indulge in some local street food at the nearby stalls.

  2. Day 1: Kodai Lake
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Coakers Walk

    Visit Kodai Lake, a man-made lake that is a popular tourist spot in Kodaikanal. You can go for a boat ride, horseback riding or just sit back and relax by the lakeside. There are also plenty of food stalls around the lake to keep you fueled up.

  3. Day 2: Pine Forest
    20 minutes (6.8 km) from Kodai Lake

    Take a walk through the Pine Forest, a dense forest of tall pine trees. The place is ideal for a picnic, with plenty of open spaces to relax. You can also go on a horse ride through the forest.

  4. Day 2: Guna Cave
    11 minutes (4.3 km) from Pine Forest

    Explore the Guna Cave, a natural cave that is believed to be as old as 2,500 million years. The cave has an interesting history and is said to have been used as a hiding place by the Pandavas during their exile. Make sure to carry a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes as the cave can be slippery.

  5. Day 2: Pillar Rocks
    25 minutes (8.2 km) from Guna Cave

    Visit the Pillar Rocks, a set of three massive rock pillars that rise to a height of about 400 feet. The view from the top is breathtaking and there are plenty of photo opportunities. There are also food stalls around the area where you can grab a quick snack.
