Ooty 3-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Doddabetta Peak
    15 minutes (4.2 km) from Ooty Bus Stand

    Doddabetta Peak is the highest point in the Nilgiri Mountains, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The peak is covered with shola forests, and on a clear day, you can see as far as Coimbatore and Mysore. There is a telescope house situated on the peak, which allows visitors to get a closer look at the scenery. The peak is open to visitors from 7 am to 6 pm, and the entrance fee is INR 10 for adults and INR 5 for children.

  2. Day 2: Ooty Lake and Boat House

    The Ooty Lake is an artificial lake located in the heart of Ooty. It was built in 1824 by John Sullivan, the founder of Ooty, and is surrounded by eucalyptus trees and a railway line. Visitors can enjoy boating on the lake, which is open from 9 am to 6 pm. The boat house also has a small amusement park and a mini train ride for children. The entrance fee for boating is INR 200 per person.

  3. Day 3: Government Botanical Garden

    The Government Botanical Garden is spread over 55 acres and has a collection of over 650 species of plants. The garden was established in 1847 and is divided into several sections, including a fern house, a conservatory, and a flower garden. The garden is open from 8 am to 6:30 pm, and the entrance fee is INR 30 for adults and INR 15 for children.
