Kashmir Itinerary - 5 Days in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Srinagar - The Venice of the East
    30 minutes (10.2 km) from Srinagar International Airport

    Start your trip in the capital city of Srinagar, which is located in the heart of the Kashmir Valley. Take a relaxing shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake and explore the floating vegetable gardens and markets. Visit the Mughal Gardens, built in the 16th century, and witness the beauty of the Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi gardens.

  2. Day 2: Gulmarg - The Meadow of Flowers
    2 hours 30 minutes (53.2 km) from Srinagar

    Head to Gulmarg, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kashmir. Take the Gondola cable car ride to the highest point and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Himalayas. You can also indulge in adventure sports like skiing, snowboarding, and sledging. Take a stroll in the lush green meadows and enjoy the cool mountain air.

  3. Day 3: Pahalgam - The Valley of Shepherds

    Visit the scenic town of Pahalgam, located at the confluence of the Lidder and Sheshnag rivers. Take a pony ride to the beautiful Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood movie "Betaab" which was shot here. Explore the serene Aru Valley and Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, a pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave.

  4. Day 4: Sonamarg - The Meadow of Gold
    3 hours 30 minutes (78.6 km) from Pahalgam

    Head to Sonamarg, known for its beautiful glaciers and peaceful meadows. Take a pony ride to the famous Thajiwas Glacier and enjoy the snow-capped peaks. You can also try your hand at angling in the Sindh River or go white water rafting. Visit the Zoji La Pass and enjoy the scenic drive back to Srinagar.

  5. Day 5: Yusmarg - The Meadow of Jesus
    2 hours 30 minutes (51.8 km) from Sonamarg

    End your trip in the picturesque town of Yusmarg, known for its scenic meadows and pine forests. Take a trek to the Sang-e-Safed valley and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. You can also participate in adventure sports like horse riding, skiing, and trekking. Relax and enjoy a picnic by the Doodh Ganga river before heading back to Srinagar.
