When traveling throughout Portugal, you can easily hop on a train or bus to get to your destination. Be mindful of the varying prices and estimated travel times for each mode of transportation, as well as the frequency of departures. For example, traveling by train from Lisbon to Porto can take around three hours and can cost between €15-€30, depending on the class of travel. If you prefer to drive, renting a car can be an excellent option, but keep in mind that parking can be expensive in urban areas.
If you have more time, consider visiting the picturesque villages of Óbidos and Batalha. If you have less time, cut out one of the destinations or combine Day 4 and Day 5. Don't forget to try the world-famous Pasteis de Nata pastry while in Lisbon, which can be found in many bakeries around the city.
