2-Day Foodie Itinerary in Coorg for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Namdroling Monastery

    Start your foodie adventure at Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple. This is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism outside of Tibet. You can witness the monks during their daily prayers and rituals with a serene atmosphere. After the spiritual experience, indulge in some delicious momos and thukpas served at the cafe outside the temple.

  2. Day 1: Raja's Seat
    20 minutes (6.5 miles) from Namdroling Monastery

    After the temple, head over to Raja's Seat. This beautiful garden is located in the heart of Madikeri town and provides a panoramic view of the valley below, especially during sunrise and sunset. There are several street food vendors outside the garden, and you can enjoy some chaats, pani puris, and fruit juices while soaking in the scenic views.

  3. Day 1: Coorg Cuisine
