Wayanad Nature Itinerary in June 2023

1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves
   1 hour 20 minutes (40.5 miles) from Calicut International Airport

   Explore the ancient Edakkal Caves, a breathtaking natural wonder featuring prehistoric cave paintings and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. 2. Day 1: Banasura Sagar Dam
   1 hour 5 minutes (23.3 miles) from Edakkal Caves

   Visit one of the largest earth dams in India, the Banasura Sagar Dam. Take a boat ride on the tranquil waters of the dam and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests. Afterwards, take a stroll in the nearby gardens, where you'll find a variety of exotic plants and trees, as well as a charming butterfly garden.

3. Day 2: Chembra Peak
   1 hour 30 minutes (35.4 miles) from Banasura Sagar Dam

   Hike to the top of Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad at over 6,000 feet. This moderate trek offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Along the way, you'll pass a beautiful heart-shaped lake which is a popular spot for picnics. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes for this exciting adventure.

4. Day 2: Soochipara Falls
   1 hour 10 minutes (26.3 miles) from Chembra Peak

   Visit the stunning Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall that cascades down over 650 feet. Take a dip in the cool waters of the falls and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. There are also hiking trails in the area that offer stunning views of the falls and the surrounding hills and forests.
