In the morning, drive from Dehradun to Sankri village. This scenic drive will take you through Mussoorie, Kempty fall, Purola and Mori and you can enjoy lunch en route. The drive from Mori to Sankri will be through dense forest and alongside the Tons River. Arrive at Sankri by evening and check into your hotel. Spend the evening enjoying the beautiful sunset views from your hotel.
After breakfast, start your trek to Juda Ka Talab. The trail is gradual and goes through dense pine forests. You can stop at a local dhaba for some hot tea and Maggi. The frozen lake's view is mesmerizing, and you can enjoy the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Overnight stay in tents.
Start the trek to Kedarkantha base camp in the morning. The trail from Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha is steep and challenging but is worth the effort. You will cross beautiful meadows and oak forests. After arriving at the base camp, you can explore the surrounding area. In the evening, enjoy the campfire and dinner under the starlit sky.
Start early in the morning to reach the summit of Kedarkantha. The trek is steep but will offer you the most magnificent views of the Himalayas. You can see the snow-covered peaks of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, and Ranglana standing tall. After spending some time at the summit, trek back to the base camp. Overnight stay in tents.
Today is the last day of the trek, and you will trek back to Sankri village. The trail is scenic and goes through beautiful meadows and forests. After arriving at Sankri, you can explore the village and visit the local market. In the evening, depart for Dehradun and then to your destination.
If you have extra time, you can explore the nearby Har Ki Dun valley or visit the ancient Kedarnath temple. You can also experience local cuisine and culture by attending the Ganga Dussehra festival in Uttarkashi. To maximize your fun, try to reach the summit of Kedarkantha before sunrise and experience the stunning sunrise views. Don't forget to carry warm clothes, gloves, and a torch.
