3-Day Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (6.5 miles) from Madikeri

    In the morning, head to Abbey Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Coorg. Enjoy the stunning views and the peaceful environment surrounding the falls. You can even take a dip in the cool waters if you like. In the afternoon, visit the Raja's Seat, a famous sunset viewpoint. This garden offers panoramic views of the Coorg valley. In the evening, explore the Madikeri Fort, which has now been converted into a museum. Here, you can learn about the history and culture of Coorg region.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (35 miles) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can watch elephants being bathed and groomed. You can also take a ride on an elephant's back through the forest. In the afternoon, head to the Namdroling Monastery, the largest Tibetan settlement in South India. Here, you can witness the beautiful architecture and learn about the Tibetan culture. In the evening, explore the Nisargadhama Forest, a beautiful bamboo forest on an island in the Cauvery River.

  3. Day 3: Talakaveri
    2 hours 30 minutes (44 miles) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit the Talakaveri, the source of the Cauvery River. Here, you can witness the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. In the afternoon, visit the Bhagamandala Temple, one of the most important religious sites in Coorg. This temple is located at the confluence of three rivers, the Cauvery, Kannike, and Sujyoti. In the evening, explore the Chelavara Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
