The day starts with a visit to the most iconic Parisian landmark, the Eiffel Tower. At 324 meters tall, the tower offers stunning views of the city. Following the tower, enjoy a lovely Seine River Cruise that provides a unique perspective of the city's architecture.
The second day begins at the Louvre Museum, home to over 35,000 works of art including the renowned Mona Lisa painting. After the museum, head to Montmartre, a charming hilltop district lined with cobbled streets, artists’ studios, and lovely cafes.
Depending on the proximity to the city center, visitors can use the metro, bus or taxis to access different attractions. A single metro ticket costs £1.90, and a one-day pass for zones 1-3 is £8.80. A taxi costs around £1.50 per km. Uber is also available, with fares starting from £0.70 per km.
Add a day trip to Champagne region or Versailles Palace if you have more time. Alternatively, if you only have one day, stick to exploring one district in detail instead of both.
Paris has two international airports - Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly (ORY). CDG is located 25 km north-east of Paris, while ORY is situated 18 km south of the city center.
