Three Days Cultural Immersion Itinerary in Vrindavan - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Temples in Vrindavan
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Mathura Junction Railway Station

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Shri Banke Bihari Temple, which opens at 7:45 AM. After darshan, head towards Shri Radha Vallabh Temple, which is a 10-minute drive away. The temple is one of the most popular and ancient temples in Vrindavan, dedicated to Lord Krishna and his consort Radharani.

    Afternoon: For lunch, head towards MVT Restaurant at Vrinda Kunja. The restaurant serves delicious vegetarian food and is located at a walking distance from Shri Radha Vallabh Temple. Post lunch, drive towards Iskcon Temple, which opens at 4:30 PM. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is one of the most magnificent temples in Vrindavan.

    Evening: End your day by visiting the Prem Mandir, which is a 15-minute drive from Iskcon Temple. The temple is beautifully illuminated in the evening and has a stunning architecture that depicts the eternal love of Radha-Krishna.

  2. Day 2: Yamuna River and Ashrams
    20 minutes (4.3 km) from Prem Mandir

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Keshi Ghat, located on the banks of Yamuna River. Take a holy dip in the river and participate in the morning aarti. You can also take a boat ride to visit other ghats and temples located on the banks of the river.

    Afternoon: For lunch, head towards Ananda Krishna Van, which is a 15-minute drive from Keshi Ghat. The ashram serves a wide variety of vegetarian food and has a peaceful atmosphere for meditation and relaxation. Post lunch, visit the Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple, located at a walking distance from Ananda Krishna Van. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be a very powerful spiritual center.

    Evening: End your day by visiting the Radha Raman Temple, which is a 10-minute drive from Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is famous for its unique shaligram shila deity.

  3. Day 3: Museums and Gardens
    15 minutes (3.2 km) from Radha Raman Temple

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, which is the world's tallest temple and offers a panoramic view of Vrindavan. After darshan, head towards the Vrindavan Museum, located just beside the temple. The museum showcases the rich cultural heritage of Vrindavan and its association with Lord Krishna.

    Afternoon: For lunch, head towards the beautiful Radha Damodar Temple Garden, a 10-minute drive from Vrindavan Museum. The garden has a serene atmosphere and serves delicious vegetarian food. Post lunch, visit the Seva Kunj and Nidhuban, located at a walking distance from the garden. The place is famous for its beautiful gardens and the pastime of Radha-Krishna.

    Evening: End your day by visiting the Vrindavan Gardens, a 15-minute drive from Seva Kunj and Nidhuban. The garden is beautifully illuminated in the evening and has a musical fountain show that is a treat for the eyes.

Recommendations:

Other local attractions that you can consider are the Nidhivan, Kusum Sarovar, and Govardhan Hill. A side trip to Agra to visit the majestic Taj Mahal can also be considered if you have an extra day. To maximize your fun, try the local street food and shop for souvenirs in the local markets.
