  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    Walking distance from Kedarnath Helipad
    Morning: Start your day with a visit to the famous Kedarnath Temple, one of the four sacred shrines in Hinduism. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built by the Pandavas during the Mahabharata era. Be prepared to climb a flight of stairs to reach the temple, which is located at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level.
    Afternoon: After visiting the temple, take a break and enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants that serve authentic Garhwali cuisine. Try the local delicacies like Aloo ke Gutke and Kumaoni Raita.
    Evening: In the evening, take a stroll around the temple complex and enjoy the serene surroundings. You can also attend the evening aarti (prayer ceremony) at the temple, which is a beautiful sight to behold.
  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
    30 minutes (10 km) from Kedarnath Temple
    Morning: Start your day early and head to Vasuki Tal, a beautiful high altitude lake located at an altitude of 4,135 meters above sea level. The trek to the lake is challenging, but the scenic beauty along the way is worth the effort.

    Evening: In the evening, trek back to Kedarnath and relax for the rest of the day.
  3. Day 3: Sonprayag
    1 hour 20 minutes (20 km) from Kedarnath Temple
    Morning: On the last day of your trip, head to Sonprayag, a small town located at the confluence of two holy rivers, Mandakini and Basuki. Take a dip in the holy waters and seek blessings.
    Afternoon: After the dip, enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the local restaurants and try the delicious Garhwali Thali.
    Evening: In the evening, head back to Kedarnath and take some time to explore the local markets and do some souvenir shopping. You can buy Kedarnath Shawls, Prayer Flags, and Rudraksha Malas as souvenirs.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can also visit the nearby Guptkashi Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva proposed to Goddess Parvati. You can also go on a day trip to Gaurikund, which is a scenic spot located at the confluence of Mandakini and Son Ganga rivers.

Make sure to carry comfortable trekking shoes, warm clothing, and rain gear as the weather can be unpredictable in September.
