    Start your day with a breathtaking view of the Wayanad district from Lakkidi View Point. Enjoy a refreshing cup of tea while admiring the misty hills and the deep valley below. If you are lucky, you might also spot some rare species of birds. Afternoon, head towards Pookode Lake, a serenely beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by lush green hills. Take a boat ride in the lake and explore the aquarium nearby. In the evening, visit the Chain Tree, a popular tourist spot known for its mysterious legend and scenic beauty. It is believed that the chain tree has medicinal properties and can cure diseases.

  2. Day 2: Edakkal Caves
    1 hour 15 minutes (28.5 miles) from Kalpetta

    Explore the ancient Edakkal Caves on your second day. The caves, located on the Ambukutty Mala hills, are famous for their prehistoric carvings and paintings, which are believed to date back over 8000 years. After the caves, visit the Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as the Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, which are a popular picnic spot.
