3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (11.2 km) from Virajpet

    In the morning, take a refreshing walk to the Abbey Falls, which is surrounded by lush greenery and coffee plantations. You can hear the gushing water from afar. Afternoon, head to Raja's Seat, which offers panoramic views of the Coorg valley. In the evening, visit the Omkareshwara Temple, which has a unique blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour (35.4 km) from Madikeri

    Morning, head to Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can spend time with these gentle giants by giving them a bath, feeding them and take a ride on their back. Afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery, which has vibrant interiors and golden idols. In the evening, go for a nature walk at the Chiklihole Dam.

  3. Day 3: Talakaveri
    2 hours 30 minutes (87.5 km) from Kushalnagar

    In the morning, visit Talakaveri, which is the source of the river Kaveri. The scenic beauty of the place is mesmerizing. Afternoon, head to the Madikeri Fort, which has historical importance and houses a museum and a temple. In the evening, visit the Raja's Tomb, which is a fine example of Indo-Sarcenic style of architecture.
