On your way down, stop by the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea in the region and see the process of tea-making. In the afternoon, visit the Government Botanical Gardens to see a variety of exotic plants and trees. Spend the evening at Ooty Lake, boating, and enjoying the serene atmosphere.
Start your day early and visit Pykara Lake, a serene and pristine lake surrounded by lush greenery. Take a boat ride and enjoy the tranquillity. Afterward, visit Pykara Waterfalls, which has a drop of 180 feet, and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, head to St. Stephen’s Church, which is an architectural marvel and has a rich history. Spend the evening exploring the local markets and indulging in some shopping.
Don't miss the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an experience like no other. You can also visit the Needle Rock Viewpoint, Lamb's Rock, and Sim's Park. If you have time, take a day trip to Coonoor, which is another beautiful hill station near Ooty.
