Discover Kedarnath in 4 Days

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes (0.5 miles) from Kedarnath bus stand

    In the morning, visit the famous Kedarnath Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India. The temple is located at an altitude of 11,755 feet and can be reached by a 14 km trek from Gauri Kund. After darshan, take a leisurely walk to the nearby Bhairav Temple. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic walk to the Vasuki Tal (4.3 miles) and take a dip in the freezing waters. In the evening, head back to your accommodation and enjoy a peaceful dinner.

  2. Day 2: Chorabari Tal
    30 minutes (1.6 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your day with an early morning trek to Chorabari Tal, also known as Gandhi Sarovar. This pristine lake is located amidst the stunning Himalayan range and offers breathtaking views. The trek is approximately 3.5 miles long and takes around 3 hours to complete. In the afternoon, visit the Shankaracharya Samadhi and Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary.   3. Day 3: Sonprayag
    1 hour 20 minutes (20.7 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, drive to Sonprayag, which is located at the confluence of two rivers, Basuki and Mandakini. Take a dip in the holy waters and visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, which is famous for the marriage ceremony of Lord Shiva and Parvati. After lunch, visit the Gaurikund Temple and indulge in some local shopping. In the evening, head back to your accommodation.

  4. Day 4: Tungnath
    1 hour 30 minutes (28.5 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your day with a scenic drive to Tungnath, which is the highest Shiva Temple in the world. The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is approximately 3.5 miles long and takes around 3 hours to complete. After darshan, visit the Chandrashila Peak and enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. In the evening, head back to your accommodation and enjoy a farewell dinner.
