Two-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Triveni Ghat
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit Triveni Ghat and witness the daily Ganga Aarti, a Hindu religious ritual of worship where fire and flowers are offered to the river Ganges. The ghat is a popular bathing spot and you can take a dip in the river too. For lunch, head to Chotiwala restaurant, which serves delicious vegetarian food. In the afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and wrote many of their songs. The ashram is now covered in street art and graffiti. In the evening, visit the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges, offering stunning views of the river and surrounding mountains.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    40 minutes (15 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to Neer Garh Waterfall for a refreshing dip and picnic. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and offers stunning views of the valley. You can also go hiking or trekking in the nearby hills. For lunch, head to Ramana's Organic Cafe, which serves delicious organic food. In the afternoon, visit the Rajaji National Park, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, elephants and deer. Enjoy a jeep safari to explore the park. In the evening, head back to Rishikesh and relax at your hotel.
