3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Vrindavan in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mathura
    10 minutes (4.5km) from Vrindavan

    Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is a must-visit for any pilgrim travelling to Vrindavan. Start your day by visiting the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple, where Lord Krishna was born. Afterward, head to Vishram Ghat, located on the banks of the Yamuna river, for a peaceful boat ride. In the afternoon, visit the Dwarkadheesh temple, built in the 19th century. End your day with a visit to the Nidhivan temple, a famous temple dedicated to Radha and Krishna.

  2. Day 2: Govardhan Hill
    40 minutes (22km) from Vrindavan

    Start your day with a trek to the top of Govardhan Hill, a sacred hill in Hinduism. The trek is a challenging but rewarding adventure. Afterward, visit the Kusum Sarovar, a picturesque lake surrounded by lush green trees. In the evening, visit the Radha Kund, a holy pond believed to have been created by Lord Krishna. End your day with a visit to the ISKCON temple, where you can attend the evening aarti and enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal at the temple's restaurant.

  3. Day 3: Barsana
    30 minutes (20km) from Vrindavan

    Start your day by visiting the famous Radha Rani temple in Barsana, dedicated to Radha, Krishna's consort. Enjoy a panoramic view of the town from the temple's rooftop. Afterward, head to the Lathmar Holi Ground, where you can witness the unique Holi celebrations that happen every year. In the evening, attend the aarti at the Banke Bihari temple, one of the most famous temples in Vrindavan dedicated to Lord Krishna.
