KEDARNATH NATURE ITINERARY FOR JUNE 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    5 minutes (0.2 miles) from Kedarnath helipad

    Begin your trip with a visit to the Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a must-visit for all devotees. The temple is located amidst the scenic beauty of the Himalayas and provides a stunning view of the Kedarnath Peak. Spend the morning exploring the temple complex and the nearby Gandhi Sarovar and Vasuki Tal. Later, take a leisurely walk to the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Gaurikund & Sonprayag
    1 hour 20 minutes (29.7 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Drive to Gaurikund, a small town that serves as the starting point of the Kedarnath Trek. Take a dip in the hot water springs and visit the Gauri Mata Temple. After lunch, visit the nearby town of Sonprayag, situated at the confluence of Basuki and Mandakini River. Explore the scenic beauty and enjoy the waterfalls and picturesque landscapes.

  3. Day 3: Chorabari (Gandhi) Lake Trek
    3 hours (5.7 miles) from Gaurikund

    Embark on a trek to Chorabari Lake, also known as Gandhi Sarovar, a serene and tranquil lake surrounded by the majestic Himalayas. The trek is moderate and takes around 3 hours to complete. Enjoy the scenic beauty and spend some time meditating by the lake. Return to Gaurikund by late afternoon.

  4. Day 4: Kedartal Trek
    1 hour 10 minutes (3.4 miles) from Gangotri National Park

    Take a trek to Kedartal, a pristine glacial lake situated at an altitude of 4,750 metres. The trek is strenuous and takes around 6-7 hours to complete. Enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding glaciers. Return to your accommodation by late evening.

  5. Day 5: Vasuki Tal Trek
    1 hour 15 minutes (3.3 miles) from Kedartal Trek starting point

    Embark on a trek to Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake situated at an altitude of 4,135 metres. The trek is challenging and takes around 4-5 hours to complete. The lake is surrounded by beautiful meadows and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Return to your accommodation by late evening.
