4-Day Wayanad Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Chembra Peak
    20 minutes (8.4 miles) from Kalpetta

    Start your morning with a hike up Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek is about 4 km long and takes around 3-4 hours to complete. Along the way, you'll see a heart-shaped lake and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. After the trek, grab some lunch at one of the local restaurants before heading to Edakkal Caves. In the evening, visit Soochipara Falls, a beautiful three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.

  2. Day 2: Edakkal Caves and Banasura Sagar Dam

    Spend the morning exploring the prehistoric Edakkal Caves, which have carvings dating back to the Neolithic era. After the caves, visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India.   3. Day 3: Pookode Lake and Lakkidi Viewpoint
