In the morning, visit the Kedarnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is one of the four Chota Char Dham shrines. The temple is believed to have been built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century and is situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level. After offering prayers, explore the nearby Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary in the afternoon. In the evening, take a stroll around the temple complex and witness the aarti ceremony.
Start the day early and trek to Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake situated at an altitude of 4,150 meters. The trek takes around 5 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Spend some time at the lake before returning to Kedarnath in the afternoon. In the evening, visit the Shankaracharya Samadhi, which is a memorial built in honor of Adi Shankaracharya.
On the last day, trek to Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 4,900 meters. The trek takes around 4 hours and offers panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Spend some time at the lake before returning to Kedarnath in the afternoon. In the evening, visit the Bhairavnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Bhairav.
If you have more time, you can visit the nearby Triyuginarayan Temple, which is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati. You can also visit the Madmaheshwar Temple, which is one of the Panch Kedar temples.
