Dwarka 4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Dwarkadhish Temple
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Dwarka Beach

    In the morning, visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Take a guided tour to learn about the history and significance of the temple. In the afternoon, head to the Rukmini Devi Temple, located about 2 km from the Dwarkadhish Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna's wife Rukmini.   2. Day 2: Gomti Ghat and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple
    25 minutes (5 miles) from Dwarka Beach

    In the morning, visit Gomti Ghat, which is a sacred spot for Hindus. Take a holy dip in the Gomti river and perform rituals. In the afternoon, head to the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat ride in the Arabian Sea.

  4. Day 4: Beyt Dwarika and Gopi Talav

    In the morning, visit the Beyt Dwarika temple, which is located on an island in the Arabian Sea. This temple is believed to be the original abode of Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, head to the Gopi Talav, which is a beautiful lake surrounded by temples. This lake is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna danced with the Gopis. In the evening, visit the Dwarka Lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic view of the city.

Recommendations

Do not miss out on visiting the Somnath Temple, which is about 2 hours from Dwarka. Also, consider taking a day trip to the marine national park of Jamnagar, which is about 3 hours from Dwarka. You can also go on a fishing trip in the Arabian Sea or take a camel ride on the beach.
