Take a ferry to the Bet Dwarka Island, said to be the residence of Lord Krishna during his ruling years. Visit the Rukmini Devi Temple and the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. In the afternoon, relax at Dwarka Beach and enjoy the scenic sunset. In the evening, return to Dwarka and visit the Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple.
Visit the Somnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is believed to have been destroyed and rebuilt several times over the centuries. Afternoon can be spent at the Somnath Beach, a picturesque beach with clear waters. In the evening, attend the aarti ceremony at the Somnath Temple.
Don't miss the opportunity to taste some of the local cuisine, including Khaman Dhokla, Khandvi, and the famous Gujarati Thali. For a side trip, head to Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, or Gir National Park to see Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. Also, consider attending the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra in June or July in Ahmedabad.
