4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Rishikesh in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Parmarth Niketan Ashram
    20 minutes (3.2 km) from Rishikesh Railway Station

    Start your day with a visit to the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, one of the most popular ashrams in Rishikesh. Participate in the morning yoga and meditation session to invigorate your mind and body. After breakfast, explore the ashram's beautiful gardens, attend a spiritual talk and take a dip in the holy Ganges river. Spend your evening enjoying the Ganga Aarti ceremony, a Hindu ritual of worshiping the River Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Triveni Ghat and Beatles Ashram
    25 minutes (6.5 km) from Parmarth Niketan Ashram

    Visit Triveni Ghat, a sacred bathing spot where the three rivers - the Ganges, the Yamuna, and the Saraswati, merge. Take a dip in the holy water and attend the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony. Later, head to the Beatles Ashram, now known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, a famous spot among Beatles fans. Explore the graffiti-filled walls and abandoned meditation cells.   3. Day 3: Rajaji National Park and Jumpin Heights

    Experience the thrill of adventure on this day. Start your day with a visit to Rajaji National Park, famous for its tigers, leopards, elephants, and over 300 species of birds. Go on a wildlife safari and explore the natural beauty of the park. After lunch, head to Jumpin Heights, India's first and highest fixed-platform bungee jump.   4. Day 4: Lakshman Jhula and Neer Garh Waterfall
