Vietnam Adventure Itinerary - July 2023

1. Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City
   15 minutes (4.5 miles) from Tan Son Nhat International Airport

   Spend the morning exploring the War Remnants Museum to learn about Vietnam's history. For lunch, try the local street food at Ben Thanh Market. In the afternoon, visit the Independence Palace and end the day with a sunset view from the Saigon Skydeck.

2. Day 2: Phu Quoc Island
   2-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City

3. Day 3: Hoi An

5. Day 5: Hanoi
   1-hour flight from Hue

   Start the day early with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Afterwards, explore the Temple of Literature and the Hoa Lo Prison Museum. In the evening, watch a traditional water puppet show and try the local food at the Old Quarter Night Market.

6. Day 6: Halong Bay
   3-hour drive from Hanoi

   Take a cruise to explore the beautiful Halong Bay. Enjoy kayaking, swimming or relaxing on the beach. In the evening, watch the sunset and enjoy a seafood dinner on board.

7. Day 7: Sapa
   4-hour drive from Halong Bay

   Take an early morning trek to see the beautiful terraced rice paddies. Visit the local ethnic minority villages to learn about their culture and traditions. In the afternoon, relax at a hot spring and experience a traditional herbal bath. End the day with a Vietnamese barbecue dinner.

Recommendations

Consider taking a side trip to Ninh Binh to see the beautiful Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. Other local attractions include the Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City and the My Son Sanctuary near Hoi An.

Try to maximize your fun by fitting in as many activities as possible. Be sure to try the local street food and immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of Vietnam.
