6-Day Adventure Itinerary in Portugal - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Lisbon
    40 minutes (6.5 miles) from Lisbon Portela Airport

  2. Day 2: Porto
    2 hours 45 minutes (200 miles) from Lisbon

    Start your day with a visit to the famous Livraria Lello bookstore. Next, head to the Ribeira district for a Douro River cruise. In the evening, visit the Porto Cathedral and experience the stunning views of Porto from its terrace.

  3. Day 3: Coimbra
    1 hour 30 minutes (75 miles) from Porto

    Visit the historic University of Coimbra in the morning. In the afternoon, explore the ruins of the Roman cryptoporticus and other ancient structures, including the aqueduct and the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Velha. End the day with a traditional Coimbra-style dinner at a local restaurant.

  4. Day 4: Funchal

End the day with a relaxing stroll along the Praia de Dona Ana, one of Lagos's most beautiful beaches.

  6. Day 6: Albufeira
    30 minutes (20 miles) from Lagos

    Start your day with a visit to the Zoomarine Algarve marine park. Enjoy the dolphin and sea lion shows, and don't miss the park's aquarium and exhibits. In the afternoon, head to the Algarve coast for a surfing lesson. End the day with a seafood dinner in Albufeira's historic Old Town.
