In the morning, we will visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia, an ashram that gained popularity after The Beatles visited in 1968. The graffiti-filled walls and the abandoned meditation cells make it a unique attraction. In the afternoon, we will head to Triveni Ghat, the confluence of three sacred rivers, and participate in the evening aarti ceremony. In the evening, we will visit the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, one of the most popular aarti ceremonies in Rishikesh.
On day two, we will begin by trekking to Neer Garh Waterfall, a 25-foot high waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. The trek is around 2.5 km each way and takes around 2-3 hours. In the afternoon, we will visit the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the river Ganges. The bridge is named after Lord Rama's brother, Lakshman. We will end the day by attending the aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat.
If you have an additional day in Rishikesh, you can consider visiting Kunjapuri Temple and Rajaji National Park. A side trip to Haridwar is also recommended. To maximize your fun, you can indulge in adventure activities like bungee jumping, white water rafting, and camping. It is also suggested to try local street food at the Rishikesh market and shop for souvenirs.
