The trek to the lake is easy, and it takes around 1 hour to reach the destination. Spend the evening at your hotel, or explore the local shops and restaurants.
Sonprayag is the confluence of two holy rivers, Mandakini and Basuki. In the morning, visit the temple and attend the morning aarti. After breakfast, head to Sonprayag. Spend the afternoon exploring the local market and the temples in the area, and take a dip in the holy rivers. Return to Kedarnath by evening.
Make sure to carry comfortable walking shoes and warm clothing as the weather can be unpredictable. It is also advisable to carry water bottles and some snacks for the trek. Do not forget to carry a camera to capture the beautiful views of the Himalayas.
