Two-Day Wayanad Tour

  1. Day 1: Explore Edakkal Caves
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Sulthan Bathery

    Located 1200 meters above sea level, Edakkal Caves are natural caves famous for their ancient rock carvings. These caves are accessible after a 1.5 km trek up a steep hill. The trek itself offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Spend the morning exploring the caves and learning about the history behind the carvings. For lunch, head to the nearby Cliff Top restaurant for delicious South Indian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Phantom Rock, another popular spot, about half an hour from the caves, and witness the unique rock formation resembling a skull. End the day with a visit to the Soochipara Waterfalls, which is about an hour's drive.

  2. Day 2: Visit Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 10 minutes (27.6 km) from Kalpetta

    Start the day by visiting the Banasura Sagar Dam, one of the largest earth dams in India, located amidst the stunning Banasura hills. Enjoy a boat ride in the serene waters of the dam while taking in the beautiful view. Afterward, visit the nearby Meenmutty Falls, a three-tiered waterfall amidst lush greenery. For lunch, head to the nearby Bamboo Forest restaurant, which offers delicious North Indian and Chinese cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Kuruva Island, located about an hour from the falls. The island offers a unique experience of floating in the middle of Kabini river surrounded by dense forest. If time permits, head to the Pookode Lake, a freshwater lake about 45 minutes from Kuruva Island, and enjoy a peaceful evening by the water.
