The Louvre is the world's largest museum and a historic monument in Paris. It displays more than 35,000 works of art from various civilizations. Some of the popular collections include the Mona Lisa and ancient Egyptian relics.
The Latin Quarter is situated on the left bank of the River Seine. It's a cultural hub of Paris, lined with cobbled streets, quaint cafes, and historic landmarks such as the Panthéon and the Sorbonne University.
The Champs-Élysées is one of the most iconic boulevards in Paris. It's home to luxury boutiques, theaters, and restaurants. The famous Arc de Triomphe monument stands at the western end of the avenue.
Paris has an extensive public transportation system with Metro, Bus, and RER trains. One can get a single ticket for €1.90, a bundle of 10 tickets for €14.90, or a day pass for €7.50. Taxis are available but are more expensive. A bike-sharing service, Vélib' is also available for short-term rental.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Eiffel Tower or the Musée d'Orsay. If you have less time, you can skip the Champs-Élysées and spend a full day in the Louvre Museum.
Paris has two main airports - Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY). Charles de Gaulle is 14 miles northeast of the city centre and has direct connections to the city via train (€10) and bus (€8-10). Orly airport is closer to the city and is 8.5 miles south of the centre. It has direct connections to the city via train (€12) and bus (€8-12).
