Two-Day Coorg City Experience

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    25 minutes (10.8 km) from Coorg City Center

    In the morning, take a trip to Abbey Falls and enjoy the delightful sight of the waterfall. Surrounded by coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations, you can take a walk around the beautiful plantations and soak in the beauty of nature. In the afternoon, head to the Raja's Seat garden, a perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views of the surrounding hills. During sunset, enjoy the musical fountains. For dinner, try traditional Coorg cuisine at Taste of Coorg.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 35 minutes (54.5 km) from Coorg City Center

    Start your day with a visit to Dubare Elephant Camp. In the morning, you can watch the elephants being bathed and fed, and even participate in the activities. After lunch, visit the Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple, and explore the temple complex, home to over 5,000 monks and nuns. Witness the Tibetan-style architecture and the vibrant colors of the temple walls. Finally, end your day with a visit to Nisargadhama, an island formed by the Cauvery river. Take a walk on the hanging bridge and enjoy the deer park and elephant rides. For dinner, head to Raintree Restaurant for some delicious seafood.

Don't miss out on visiting Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Cauvery river, and Bhagamandala Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. If you have extra time, you can also visit Madikeri Fort, Omkareshwara Temple, and the Coorg Wildlife Society.
