Rishikesh Family Friendly Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Beatles Ashram
    10 minutes (2.1km) from Laxman Jhula

    Morning: Visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia, which was once the meditation center of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The ashram is now covered in beautiful graffiti and also has a Sound and Light Show that tells the story of the Beatles' stay in Rishikesh in 1968.
    Afternoon: Have lunch at the nearby Kudle Beach Cafe which serves North Indian and international food.
    Evening: Enjoy a yoga session at Parmarth Niketan, a famous ashram with a beautiful Ganga Aarti ceremony every evening.

  2. Day 2: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (50km) from Rishikesh

    Morning: Embark on a jungle safari in Rajaji National Park to encounter tigers, elephants, leopards, Indian Gaur, and many other animals, which are native to the park. The safari also takes you to many beautiful waterfalls.
    Afternoon: Head to Sattvik Restaurant in the park for a delicious lunch, which specializes in traditional North Indian dishes.
    Evening: Relax at your hotel or homestay in Rishikesh.

You can also consider visiting Neer Garh Waterfall and Laxman Jhula, which is a famous suspension bridge over the River Ganges. In case you're looking for adventure activities, you can try river rafting, bungee jumping, and zip-lining. You can also take a day trip to Haridwar, which is 30km from Rishikesh and is famous for its evening Ganga Aarti ceremony.
