Two-Day Relaxing Itinerary in Wayanad

  1. Day 1: Banasura Sagar Dam

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
    2 hours 10 minutes (63.3 km) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    Start your day early and head to Chembra Peak for a sunrise trek. The trek is moderately difficult, but the breathtaking view from the top makes it worthwhile. Afternoon, head to Pookode Lake for a relaxing pedal boat ride. Finally, in the evening, visit Meenmutty Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.

Recommendations

If you are interested in wildlife, make sure to visit Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is closed during monsoon season, but it opens in August. You can also visit Edakkal Caves for a unique cave exploration experience. If you have more time, consider a side trip to Ooty, a scenic hill station located in Tamil Nadu.
