Two-Day Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (10.5 miles) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit the breathtaking Abbey Falls, which cascade down from a height of 70 feet, surrounded by beautiful coffee plantations and spice estates. Take a short trek to the falls to get a closer look. For lunch, head to the nearby Madikeri town where you can enjoy some delicious Coorg cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Omkareshwara Temple, an ancient shrine built in the 19th century, which showcases a fusion of Islamic and Gothic architecture. In the evening, take a stroll through the Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with stunning views of the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (34 miles) from Madikeri

    Start your day by visiting the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can experience an elephant safari, learn about the lives of these gentle giants, and even give them a bath. After a morning filled with adventure, head to the Golden Temple, a beautiful monastery that houses a 40-foot-tall gold statue of Buddha. For lunch, enjoy some Tibetan cuisine at one of the nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Madikeri Fort, an impressive historical site that showcases the rich history of Coorg. In the evening, head back to your hotel for some much-needed relaxation.
