Hyderabad City Experience Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    20 minutes (5.6 miles) from Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre

    Charminar, built in 1591, is the icon of Hyderabad, and the most famous landmark of the city. In the morning, you can explore the surroundings and buy some souvenirs in the shops around the monument. In the afternoon, visit the Mecca Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, located just 200 meters from Charminar. In the evening, head to Laad Bazaar, a market famous for bangles, pearls, and traditional clothing.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort
    35 minutes (11.2 miles) from Charminar

    In the morning, visit Golconda Fort, a massive citadel and fortress built on a granite hilltop. Once the capital of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, the fort offers a glimpse into the city's rich history. In the afternoon, head to Qutub Shahi Tombs, a complex of seven tombs of the rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. In the evening, visit Taramati Baradari, a music hall near the fort, which is famous for its acoustics and stunning views of the city.

Recommendations

If you have extra time in Hyderabad, consider visiting the Salar Jung Museum, which houses one of the largest one-man collections of antiques in the world. You can also take a day trip to Ramoji Film City, the world's largest integrated film studio complex. For foodies, Hyderabad is famous for its biryani, so be sure to try it at one of the many restaurants in the city.
