3-Day Itinerary for Kedarnath

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    The morning is the best time to visit Kedarnath Temple as it is less crowded. You can witness the morning aarti at 7:00 a.m. Afterward, explore the temple complex and learn about the history and architecture of the temple. In the afternoon, you can trek to Bhairon Temple, which is approximately 3 km from Kedarnath Temple. In the evening, you can enjoy a peaceful walk around the temple complex.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal Trek

    You can start the day early and trek to Vasuki Tal, which is a beautiful lake located at an altitude of 4,150 meters. The trek is challenging, but the stunning views of the Himalayas make it worth it. You can have a packed lunch on the banks of the lake and spend some time soaking in the beauty of nature. Afterward, you can trek back to Kedarnath and relax in the evening.

  3. Day 3: Sonprayag and Triyuginarayan Temple
    37 minutes (19.6 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    You can start the day early and drive to Sonprayag, which is located at the confluence of Mandakini and Basuki rivers. Afterward, you can visit Triyuginarayan Temple, which is approximately 12 km from Sonprayag. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is famous for the eternal flame that burns in front of the temple. In the evening, you can drive back to Kedarnath and spend some time exploring the local markets.
