Madrid Family-Friendly Itinerary in 3 Days

  • Day 1: Royal Palace and Retiro Park

    Royal Palace is a must-see attraction in Madrid. As the official residence of the Spanish royal family, tourists will marvel at its grandeur and exquisite interiors. The Retiro Park is a great place to unwind, stroll and picnic with lush green surroundings and a beautiful artificial lake to boat in.

  • Day 2: Prado Museum and Warner Bros Park

    The Prado Museum is one of the most popular museums in Madrid housing the most extensive collections of pre-20th-century art in the world. Then, head to Warner Bros Madrid for outdoor theme park attractions, roller coasters, and live shows for kids and adults both.

  • Day 3: Madrid Zoo and Gran Via Street
    7 km, 20 minutes from the previous location

    The Madrid Zoo is an excellent spot to experience wildlife and learn about various species. The highlight is the Panda exhibit. Later, marvel the ornate Gran Via street with stunning architecture and vibrant shopping and dining options.

Useful Tips

If one has more time, they can plan a day trip to Toledo, Segovia or Avila, all of which are a short distance from Madrid. If they have less time, we suggest starting day 1 earlier to add a visit to Toledo's Old Donjón and Cathedral.
