Public transportation is easy to use and inexpensive in Singapore. The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is a great way to get around the city. Singapore also has a great network of buses and taxis. A one-way MRT ticket costs between $0.80 to $2.20 depending on the distance traveled. Taxis start at $3.20 and increase based on distance and time traveled. If you plan on using public transportation frequently, it is recommended to purchase a Singapore Tourist Pass which provides unlimited travel on buses and trains for a fixed price of $10 per day for one day, $16 per day for two days or $20 per day for three days.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can visit other attractions such as the Merlion Park, Clarke Quay, the Singapore Flyer, and the Asian Civilisations Museum. If you have less time, you can remove some attractions or group them accordingly. Singapore is a tropical country, and it can get hot and humid, so bring comfortable clothing and footwear. Also, be mindful of the dress codes at certain attractions, such as temples and religious sites, where you may need to wear conservative clothing.

Airports

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is Singapore's main airport and is located approximately 20 km northeast of the city center. It is one of the world's best airports and served over 68 million passengers in 2019. It has three terminals and is a hub for Singapore Airlines, Scoot, and SilkAir. Changi Airport is well-connected to the city via the MRT, buses, and taxis, and the journey to the city takes around 30 minutes by MRT and 20 minutes by taxi.
